Personality (MBTI) & Film-Watching Patterns
The Brief
A data analysis study exploring the relationship between MBTI personality types and film-watching patterns, based on a 119-participant survey with R and ggplot2 visualizations.
Problem
Understanding whether personality type (MBTI) influences film-watching habits — from genre preferences to viewing contexts — using quantitative and qualitative survey data.
Significance
Combining survey design, statistical analysis, and data visualization to uncover behavioural patterns demonstrates cross-disciplinary research skills.
My Contribution
Collaborated with a team of six to design a 10-question survey (qualitative + quantitative), collected 119 responses, performed data cleaning and visualization in R with ggplot2. Discovered insights such as perceiving types being more spontaneous in film selection. Produced an 800-word report and delivered a 3-minute presentation.
